If you enjoyed the first part of
"Dunkirk Spirit" by Alan Pearce, you will undoubtedly want to
read the second part!
Drawing on personal accounts and
official histories, journalist Alan Pearce has undertaken
meticulous research into the events surrounding Dunkirk.
His novel dispels the common myths
about the evacuation and gives a harrowing perspective of a
great defeat and subsequent miracle, seen through the eyes of
ordinary people in extraordinary times.

A former managing editor at both the International Press
Institute and The Phnom Penh Post, and foreign correspondent,
he has covered conflicts around the world for a variety of
news organisations including Time Magazine, The Times, Sunday
Times, Sunday Telegraph, Paris Match, and Sygma Photo News

Alan Pearce paints a remarkable picture of
life in the early days of the war with an island facing invasion
while its army lay trapped on the shores of France.
Dunkirk Spirit shocks with its stark
depiction of war and yet is rich in humour, tapping deep into the
British character.
Heart warming and compelling, this is a book
that raises the spirits, and begs the question could we ever do it
again?
